FORMER England Students winger Alex O'Meara has agreed a deal to join the Cornish Pirates under their Player Development Foundation scheme.
The 22-year-old winger has previously represented Hartpury College and also played for the Ireland Under 20s side, courtesy of having an Irish father.
Pirates director of rugby Ian Davies believes O'Meara, who did not get into rugby seriously until he was 16, will turn into a great talent for the future.
Davies said: "Alex is an exciting player who I am sure will flourish in the full-time environment.
"Alex has scored tries at National One level and was also a key player for England Students this season so he will add to our exciting back-line options."
In May, another former England Students player, Will Cargill, also joined the Greene King IPA Championship side.
