HOLMANS 2
FALMOUTH TOWN 1
FALMOUTH Town should have got something from this game at Holmans, but it was one of those days when nothing would go into the net for them.
There was little to choose between the sides in the first half with Town creating a couple of good chances through Duncan Gillett and Steve Hurst, but both put their efforts just wide of the target.
The 'keeper did well to save from Bobby Bryant in a one on one, but five minutes from half time the home side broke through a static defence to open the scoring.
From their very first attack in the second half Holmans extended their lead when Wayne Herrington deflected a shot into his own net.
Town had much the better of the exchanges for the remainder of the half with Hooper volleying over the bar and the 'keeper saving well from Bryant.
Bryant pulled a goal back for Town when he breezed past two defenders along the byline to score, but despite having chances the visitors were unable to rescue a point.
