OFFICIALS at Mullion have praised Kevin Richards for his work done as manager of the club following his decision to stand down.
As revealed in Wednesday's Packet, Richards resigned after three years in charge after the team who won the Jolly's Combination League last season were denied promotion to the South West Peninsula League West Division.
This was due to their Clifden Parc ground not meeting the required criteria when inspected.
Joining Richards in exiting Mullion are his assistants Dave Leonard and Martin Pennington, with chairman Chris Rosevear commending the trio for their efforts.
Rosevear said: "I would like to personally thank Kev, Dave & Martin for the fantastic job they had made of running the first team.
"When they came to this club we were a middle to bottom of the table side and in three years they built a side who are now Combo champions.
"I had a meeting with Kev and his team before the friendly against Illogan and he told me that he wanted to take a break from football management, at which point I accepted his resignation."
Anyone who is interested in becoming Mullion's new manager should call Rosevear on 07860 609018.
