Budock Vean Golf Club manager Tony Ramsden alongside Tricia Blatter won the Douglas Bader qualifier with a superb total of 45 Stableford points.
The pair were off to a flying start with birdies at two of the first three holes on their way to carding an impressive gross 74. The pair will now represent the club in the final at Stover, Newton Abbot.
Runners up were Brian Martin and Gillian Pascoe with a fine haul of 41 points. Gillian's remarkable chip in at the 15th proved crucial in pipping Tony and Nalda Grimmer into third place on the countback.
On Sunday the men competed for the ETS Cups, also in near perfect golfing weather. The winners were David Penrose, Bob Hartnell and David Stevens who all played steadily for a fine aggregate score of 112 points.
In second place were Simon Minter, Ian Scorse and Keith Rashleigh with 103 points and third was Richard Whatmore (best individual score of the day). Daniel Phillips and Chris Mason with 101 points.
Back nine twos were recorded by Tony Statham, Nick Bryant and Brian Martin whose 155-yard tee shot on the 18th ran down the flag and was less than an inch from a hole in one.
This Sunday is the first "major" of the year -the David Sadler Memorial Trophy. The presentation is at 6 pm.
