STRIKER Rob Wearne scored three of Falmouth Town Reserves' five goals as they played out a thriller with newly promoted Holman Sports Club on Tuesday night.
The Jolly's Combination League clash at Bickland Park ended 5-4 in favour of the hosts with first team regular Wearne hitting a hat-trick for the side.
Ed Timmons also got on the scoresheet for Town along with Steve Winnan, but they were kept on their toes by Holmans with Chris Shackley netting a brace.
An own goal and a strike from Jack Stocker saw the visitors nearly get a point, but ultimately it was Town who edged the encounter.
After scoring a hat-trick of his own on Saturday, Alan Thomas was on target again for Mullion again in their match at Redruth United.
However, he could not steer the defending champions to victory as United pulled off a 3-1 result with two goals from Dario Pisano and a strike from Chris Dower.
