GLENN Paterson took his second win of the season after agreeing the "split" by winning the turnover for the points. It's a result that sees Glen displace brother Scott from the pink play-off zone.
Yvonne Newell achieved her highest placing of the season and will find that her 33rd point of the season has helped her into a Buffs play-off position.
Gareth Fulcher's 21st point of the month takes him up to 13th in the overall Champions League and Carl Morris continued his superb run of final tables with fourth place. Carl has shot from nowhere to lie just outside the Champions League play-offs.
Alan Piner ended his poker ice-age with a fighting fifth on the night. Alan will also see his name in the Champions League play-offs.
Matt Ayling was happy to return to form with sixth on the night and Mark Gray survived the bounty trauma to take seven spot. Glenn Wisbey was looking good for his first win of the season until his AK met Gareth Fulcher's AQ - as AQ hit the board Wisbey supporters began boarding their coaches for the long journey home.
Rob Hosking put up a brilliant scrap to try to get enough points to win April's player of the month award but fell just two points short when he went out in ninth.
Rob has still had an exceptional month and who knows . . . those points earned in April may just be vital for his chances of winning the cruise prize come the finals night in December!
On Wednesday, April 25, the results saw John Foxton returned to form with an excellent win.
John played an excellent final table game to take first place. Normally famed for his aggressive style, John showed great patience early doors on the final table and used impeccable timing to get the chips in at the right time. John's third win of the season takes him to a symmetrical third in the overall Champions League standings.
Jason "Cat" Ottaway took second place to move up to 11th in the Champions League (was he really 105th two weeks ago?). Even more importantly for the poker playing feline is the fact that this result ewventually secured the April player of the month award.
Tony Fabricator's third place saw him net his 125th point of the season to extend his lead at the top of the Champions League to a whopping 33 points.
Carl Morris followed up two tournament victories with fourth on the night.
Craig Hosking maintained his good form with fifth place. It is a result that sees Craig move into the top 10 of the Champions League.
