St Austell 3, Helston Athletic 3
HELSTON put a severe dent in St Austell's SWPL Premier title aspirations after substitute Martyn Webster popped up with a late equaliser at Poltair Park on Saturday.
Webster scored four minutes from time to earn the Blues a superb point and keep alive their hopes of a top ten finish.
County youth striker Matty Buchan gave the visitors an early lead before former Falmouth Town youngster Harry Evans levelled midway through the half.
Six minutes into the second period Liam Eddy scored against his home town club to put the hosts in charge, but top scorer Mark Goldsworthy restored parity 15 minutes later.
The ding-dong affair continued though, with Jake Wannell putting the Saints in front for what looked like the winning goal before Webster - who usually plays in goal - hammered home and potentially hammered a nail in the hosts' championship dream.
