THE Lord Lieutenant's Trophy was played at Truro Golf Club. The annual charity event is a four ball better ball format with pairs being entered through their clubs.
This year 28 pairs were entered and it was Killiow members Dan Sleeman and Jason Dyer who ran out winners with an excellent score of 43 points.
After a great day's golf the presentation took place in the clubhouse. All the players were welcomed by the vice- captain of Truro, Graham Cowles.
The winners were presented with their prizes by Lady Mary Holborow, the Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall and the Commander of the St John Ambulance, Bob Sturland, DL ,who thanked everyone who had supported the event.
The presentation was concluded with the vice-president of the CGU, Graham Binney presenting Lady Holborow with a cheque for £750 in aid of the St John Ambulance.
Result: 1, Dan Sleeman and Jason Dyer (Killiow), 43 pts; 2, M Hawke and I Colwill (Merlin), 42 pts.
