FALMOUTH TOWN LADIES 5
HAYLE LADIES 3
FALMOUTH Town Ladies' 5-3 win against Hayle showed just what a rollercoaster a game can be.
Two up in the first 20 minutes and dominating play, Town gifted Hayle a 3-2 half time lead by scoring not one but two own goals and setting up their third.
Town started brightly and some good link up play in midfield set up Alex Kent for the first and Ayeisha Dyer adding a second following a solo run and fine strike.
Town allowed a Hayle back into the game and a couple of unfortunate own goals and a failed clearance set up the opposition for a half time lead against the run of play.
Town started the second half much better and eventually scored the equaliser with Kent latching on to a through ball leaving the 'keeper with no chance with a clinical finish.
Midway through the half a Helena Calfe free kick sailed into the net from 25 yards to make it 4-3 and when Town's player of the match, Dyer, took an unlucky tumble she was replaced by substitute Catherine Williams who took just 90 seconds to score from a corner.
Victory takes Town back to top of division two league, but next week they face Bude in the League Cup.
