NEW Truro City manager Paul Wotton saw his new side earn an impressive 0-0 draw with Sky Bet League Two side Exeter City at Treyew Road, writes Cameron Weldon.
In typical preseason fashion the two sides were full of debutants and trialists trying to earn themselves contracts.
New Truro signings James Ward, and Harlain Mbayo both started, while the Grecians featured the experienced Dean Moxey and former Truro loanee Matt Jay.
In a game with minimal chances, neither team managed to create any real chances of note.
Two Truro trialists linked up well before seeing a shot go wide, while striker Brandon Diau fired over the bar from a corner.
Exeter, who have already played one pre-season game already (a 0-5 win against Jersey FA) played the ball around well and dominated possession but had to result to pot shots from distance that caused Cory Harvey no problems in the Truro goal.
Brandon Diau came the closest for the hosts late in the second half after taking down a long ball well, but his goal bound shot was well blocked.

The Devon side finished the stronger but again failed to really worry the resolute Truro backline as the game finished in an entertaining 0-0 draw.
A positive start to an exciting new era at Truro City Football Club whose pre-season schedule continues on Tuesday night with Plymouth Argyle the visitors to Treyew Road (kick-off 7.30pm).
Truro City: Harvey, Thompson, Ward, Mbayo, Richards (c), Trialist, Keats, Booth, Trialist, Rooney, Diau.
