LUKE Brabyn's extra-time penalty secured an incredible victory for Falmouth Town in their FA Vase second round proper tie at home to Longlevens.
Goals from Shaun O'Connor and Harry Emmett looked to have given the Hellenic League Premier Division side victory, but Brabyn's 90th-minute penalty and Jack Webber's dramatic injury-time strike sent the game to extra time, with Brabyn netting from the spot again to seal a famous win.
The Gloucestershire side looked like being the first to settle, enjoying the early possession, but Town were the ones to strike the post on ten minutes when Brabyn beat onrushing 'keeper Ash Wintle to the ball in the right corner and firing against the far post with an effort from a tight angle.
Although Longlevens were the ones enjoying the possession, Town were coming closer with Brabyn cutting inside following a throw-in and drilling a powerful effort on goal from the corner of the box, with Wintle just about palming it clear.
But the visitors soon registered a meaningful shot with the impressive Emmett robbing David Broglino of the ball and firing narrowly wide of Ryan Barnes' right post.
The first goal was looking like it could come from either side, with Town conceding a corner which was glanced wide by Brad Martin but kept alive by the hosts, who countered through Matt Buchan and then Luke Barner, who strode through and rolled a shot just wide of the far post.
That proved crucial as Town fell behind in the final minute of the half. The hosts conceded a free-kick 30 yards from goal, with O'Connor stepping up to smash it past Barnes.
Town's task was made doubly difficult just six minutes into the second half, when a throw-in reached Emmett just inside the box, who took a touch before drilling in from 15 yards, with the effort proving too hot to handle for Barnes, who managed to get a touch on it.
Town tried to force a way back into the game but it just wasn't happening for them. Substitute Luke Johnson linked up well with fellow sub Jack Bowyer but could not find a way through, with the pair being denied by a resolute Levens backline on separate occasions.
Hope was beginning to fade with Town having a two-goal mountain to climb as the clock ticked down.
They were thrown a lifeline in the 90th minute, however, when Barner hit the deck inside the box and the referee eventually pointed to the spot, with Brabyn firing home to halve the deficit and set up a grandstand finish.
Town pushed forward in search of a last-gasp equaliser to take the game to extra time, and almost had it in sensational style when Bowyer's blocked shot fell to Martyn Duff on the edge of the box, whose overhead kick flew agonisingly wide.
But just as time looked to be up, Town came forward with a hopeful ball which was punched away by Wintle, but only as far as Webber, who lobbed in from 30 yards to send his team-mates and the hundreds of Town supporters wild.
Town had the momentum going into extra time, with Johnson firing just wide before Bowyer raced onto substitute Ryan Martt's diagonal ball and saw his effort saved by Wintle.
The hosts' pressure continued into the second half with Johnson's long throw being flicked on before a shot was fired at goal and blocked on the line.
That pressure finally told in the 110 minute when Bowyer was felled in the box when through on goal, with Brabyn stepping up to fire home his second penalty of the game.
Johnson missed a good chance to seal victory late on, but it did not matter as Town clung on to a remarkable win, with Levens substitute Logan Roach blazing over in added time in what was his side's final chance.
