Falmouth Town progressed to the next round of the Walter C Parson Cup with a convincing 4-1 win over local rivals Penryn.
Town began the better of the sides and could have opened the scoring in the 5th minute. Brabryn was sent in behind by Harry Clarke, he rounded the keeper but saw his goal-bound effort blocked.
Falmouth had a free-kick from just outside the area in the 23rd minute but Tom Annear blazed his shot over the bar when he ought to have done better.
Falmouth took the lead in the 26th minute from the penalty spot. Penryn goalkeeper Adam Robathon was adjudged to have brought down Oli Walker, a foul which saw the keeper go into the book.
Luke Brabyn stepped up and calmly slotted his penalty into the bottom right corner.

In the 35th minute, Luke Barner was played in behind on the right side but his shot was wide left of the goal.
Against the run of play, Penryn could have equalised in the 42nd minute following a succession of corners. Vallejo delivered a really dangerous cross which was well met by Brandon Leivers, the wingers' header was arrowing toward the top corner but for a last-ditch goal-line clearance from a Falmouth defender.
Town started the second half they had the first and doubled their lead with 56 minutes played. David Broglino was teed up on the edge of the area by Jack Webber and the midfielder blasted into the net from 25 yards out.
They added a third in the 66th minute with a clinical counter attack. Brabyn broke away down the left, he calmly cut the ball back to substitute Tim Nixon who slotted beneath the Robathon.

Penryn didn’t give up despite this and responded in the 76th minute. Leivers dinked a ball over the top to Jak Davies who flicked on to Reeve whose initial shot was well saved by Barnes but the rebound was tapped into the empty net from Davies.
Tom Annear was unfortunate to not get on the scoresheet in the 83rd minute his low free-kick from just outside the area left the goalkeeper rooted but ricocheted off the outside of the post.
They threatened to score again but Nick Boase’s long-range free kick in the 89th minute was well tipped onto the bar by Barnes who had a good game between the posts.
Brabyn added his second and Falmouth’s fourth to put the game beyond doubt in injury time. He was played in on the right side of the box and as he has done on so many occasions this season. He powered the ball to the keepers near post to seal the victory.
Falmouth play away to Sidmouth in the next round.
Speaking after the game Falmouth Manager Andrew Westgarth said: "For all our dominance, Penryn still had some big chances. In the first half we weren't at our fluent best. They had one off the line if that goes in it's 1-1 and we would have a difficult game.
"In the second half for all our dominance they had chances on another occasion Ryan reeve scores, Rappo (Rapsey) would be disappointed with his miss. It was a weird game." He added.
Penryn Manager Harry Pope was proud of his side's performance as they fighting throughout the match despite the score. He said:
"It was always going to be a mammoth task, but my boys have ran their socks off for me and I can't ask for a lot more. A slight bit of naivety I felt at some points in the game but that's part of being the new boys at this level.
Packet man of the match: Luke Brabyn – two goals and an assist a tireless performance from the striker earned him the man of the match.
