There was another great turnout at Falmouth Golf Club on Saturday for the John Rose Memorial Trophy, writes Keith Rashleigh.
Some 107 golfers teed up in the popular Stableford competition in reasonable conditions.
Scoring was still relatively low with the rough still heavy in parts of the course.
In third place with 38 points was Lee Gallagher, carded respective nines of 18 and 21 with six pars - three on the front nine and three on the back nine.
In second place, losing out on countback, was Shaun Ramsey with nines of 23 and 17, to total 40 points. His round consisted of an impressive ten pars.
In first place and winner of the John Rose Memorial 2024 was Paul Caunter, with solid nines of 21 and 19 for a total of nine pars, helped by some precise putting during his winning round of 40 points.
Best scratch score of the day went to Ben Browning with an incredible round of 67, consisting of six birdies and nine pars, and if preferred lies had not been in place he would have beaten his previous course record.
