Falmouth United's coaches and committee members received a prestigious honour when they were awarded the FA Grassroots Club of the Year for the first time in the club's 30-year history.

The announcement was made at an awards evening where representatives of Falmouth United gathered to share in the joy and pride of such an achievement.

The club said the award - a testament to the hard work, dedication and genuine love for the game displayed by the coaches and committee - underscored the "pivotal role each one of them has played in shaping the club's success."

Whether it be the elation of a hard-earned victory or dealing with the tears of a loss, their commitment to the players and the game has not gone unnoticed.

Sharing his gratitude and appreciation, club chairman Chris Wood said: "Well done to each and every one of you, and as chairman, thank you so much for everything you do."

While the FA Grassroots Club of the Year award acknowledges the exceptional efforts of Falmouth United outside the club, it also symbolises the happiness that resonates within the young players who benefit from the commitment and dedication of the coaches and committee members.

Their tireless efforts, passion for the game, and nurturing environment have ensured that numerous children go home happy every single week.

As Falmouth United looks ahead to the upcoming 24/25 season, the award serves as motivation and inspiration for the coaches and committee, as they continue in their endeavour to shape the future generation of footballers.

A club spokesperson added: "The entire club and its community join in congratulating Falmouth United on this remarkable achievement and eagerly anticipate the promising future that lies ahead for the club."
