A financial planning business has become the main kit sponsor for Truro's youth football club.
Copper Rock Financial Planning, based in Newham, has provided support to Truro City Youth Football Club, allowing them to invest in new kits for their teams that compete in the Cornwall Youth Football League.
The club currently fields mixed teams in all age groups from under 7s to under 18s, as well as girls' teams competing in the under 10s and under 11s.
They also stage community football and Wildcats training sessions at Penair School on Saturday mornings during term time.
These sessions aim to give as many children as possible access to football, catering for girls and boys from four years of age through to 12.
The club is always looking for volunteers to help run these sessions.
Lisa Marley, chairperson of Truro City Youth Football Club, said: "We are thrilled that Copper Rock have generously supported our club and are proud to have their logo on the front of the shirts of all our competitive teams as they play across the county and in tournaments.
"We are an ambitious, independent, community football club where football is for everyone.
"One of our aims is to have girls' teams competing in every age group, adding to our current under 10 and under 11 teams and continuing to offer access to football to children in Truro through our brilliant community sessions that have just kicked off for the new season."
Scott Whitfeld from Copper Rock Financial Planning said: "At Copper Rock we help our clients invest in their future, whether that be mortgages, pensions, or investments.
"So, it felt a natural fit to support our city’s youth football club which enables boys and girls to learn and enjoy the game in a supportive atmosphere.
"Since 2002 the club has been investing in the next generations' health and wellbeing, helping them learn new skills, gain confidence, and make new friends.
"My son plays in the under 9s side and we are proud to be able to help the club continue its good work."
