History was made at the Memorial Ground last Sunday as Penryn Ladies reserves played their first ever match in the inner warrior league, writes Jonathan Plummer.
The heavy morning rain had thankfully abated to leave a bright and breezy afternoon.
Penryn ran in ten tries in total in an entertaining match.
There was a hat trick for willow Jeffferies, there was also a brace of tries for Heather Holmes and Millie Osman.
There was also tries scored by Bo Prout, Kira Sarsero-James and Steph Nicholas.
Conversions were added Millie Osman who kicked four and Bo Prout kicked one.
All of the Penryn team had great matches, many playing their first ever games of rugby. Forward of the match was Kira Sarsero-James and back of the match was Sophie Roberts.
Credit must go Plymouth Arguam who scored a converted try and were committed to the last whistle.
Penryn coach Donna Darby was very pleased after the match with the new side gelling so well.
Penryn Reserves next match is in November meanwhile Penryn’s first team are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Western Hornets.
