Penryn/Perranporth colts 45 - Helston colts 15
Penryn/ Perranporth colts welcomed their Helston counterparts last Saturday at the Memorial Ground, the first league match of the season, writes Jonathan Plummer.
There were ten tries shared between the two sides in the end to end, and entertaining, encounter watched by a large crowd.
Penryn/Perranporth scored seven tries by Jake Andrew, Will Atherfold, Dan Webster, Charlie Long, Hudson Gay and Lewis Crannis. There was also a penalty try awarded.
There were four conversions kicked, two for Vince Marney and two for Jake Walker.
There were three ties scored by Helston colts.
This was a great start for the Penryn/Perranporth colts combined side, who are looking to win the league for the third season in a row.
Penryn/Perranporth colts' next match is against Falmouth/ Truro colts being played at Truro on Saturday, October 12; kick off is at 11.30am.
