A family law firm has agreed a landmark sponsorship deal with Truro City FC.

The Family Law Company, which opened its first office in Cornwall in 2022, has become an official sponsor of the football club, marking the first time the firm has sponsored a team in its 33-year history.

It comes as Truro City FC settles into its new permanent home, a 3,000-capacity stadium that opened in August as part of the Langarth Village Project.

Director Lucy Theobald, who heads the company’s Truro office, visited the stadium with business development director Kerry England.

Ms Theobald said: "This is something new for the firm as we’ve never sponsored a football team before.

"As a Cornish local, I’ve followed the Tinners' fortunes for many years.

"It was exciting to step into the new stadium; next time I’ll be there with the home crowd cheering the team on."

The Family Law Company, which provides specialist family legal services including legal aid, has been successful in Cornwall since opening its office in 2022.

There are plans to further develop the regional office.

Ms Theobald added: "Not on such a grand scale as Truro City’s new stadium, but for us it will be an equally important development."

The new stadium meets Football Association specifications, making it ideal for Truro City's progress.

Ms Theobald said: "Given the positivity of the move to the stadium after four years without a home, and the increase in the number of spectators, we’re hoping for some great results during the season."
