The game kicked off with St Ives seconds quickly establishing their dominance, applying relentless pressure and keeping Falmouth on the back foot for the first 20 minutes.

Despite the early challenges, the young Eagles demonstrated remarkable tenacity, managing to press and clear their lines, even earning a penalty opportunity that narrowly missed the mark from Cam Connel.

As the match progressed, St Ives continued to exploit their slippery movement, capitalizing on a series of penalties to score the first try, putting them ahead 7-0. They maintained their momentum and added another try just before halftime, leaving Falmouth trailing 14-0 at the break.

However, the second half marked a turning point for the Eagles 2XV. With renewed energy and determination, the young players began to find their rhythm.

A break from the St Ives 22 provided the visitors with another try, extending their lead to 19-7.

Yet, undeterred by the challenges, the young Eagles rose to the occasion. Scrum half Toby Richardson dazzled with a brilliant run down the touchline, scoring Falmouth's first try, which was expertly converted by Connel.

Despite their best efforts, St Ives responded swiftly with a well-executed team try, pushing the score to 24-7.

Nevertheless, Falmouth showcased their fighting spirit once again, with Tug Wilson making a powerful run, breaking through the St Ives defense to score under the posts, followed by another successful conversion by Connel.

In the closing minutes, Falmouth pushed hard for another try, demonstrating their grit and determination.

However, despite their relentless efforts, the ball was turned over and cleared by the slippery St Ives side.

While the scoreboard may not have favoured them, the commendable performance from all the young Eagles players signals a promising future as they continue to gel and grow as a team.
