ANOTHER season and it's another new squad that will wear Falmouth Town's colours for the final Carlsberg SWL season before the new South West Peninsula League comes into being.
There's also a new manager, but Steve Massey won't need any introduction to Cornish football fans or to Town's because he has returned after his ill-fated trip to Truro City.
That experience might have persuaded people of lesser self-belief to call it a day, but Massey has arrived at Bickland Park oozing as much enthusiasm and confidence as someone starting their first day in a new job.
But he has got a big job on his hands having to rebuild completely from scratch following the departure of all of last season's squad.
That might be a daunting task for some, but along with his brother and coach Stuart, they have once again put their faith in youth.
Some players he has managed before including Wayne Brown (Penryn), Lee Beer (Callington), Fergus Nevin, Chris Strike, and Tom Russell (Truro), Rob Troon, Darren Burchell (Penzance), Carlton Farnham (Launceston), and Adam Weston (Cambridge United).
Other players to join the club are Sam Twyford (St Ives), Matt Grren, Nick Pugliese (Penzance), goalkeeper Joe Tickle (Wadebridge), and Hugh Howlett (Penryn).
Two other promising youngsters who were also with Penryn, Ben Ambrose and Nathan McIntosh, have also signed.
Town played their final pre-season friendly on Monday evening when they entertained St Day.
The Saints won promotion to the Jolly's Combination League after pipping Porthleven to the Whirlwind Sports Falmouth-Helston League title.
It must have been a bit of an eye-opener for the newest senior side in the west of the county against one of the most powerful and dominant clubs in South West football.
The result was a shock win for St Day who took a two-goal lead through Fraser Cadman and Stuart Reynolds.
Town's reply didn't come until two minutes from time when Rob Troon scored from Carlton Farnham's cross.
Town manager Steve Massey will have plenty to think about after this setback.
Town open their league campaign with two successive trips to Devon. They play Parkway on the opening day of the season and then on Wednesday visit Plymouth Argyle. On Saturday the 19th they entertain Saltash United and the following Tuesday play Goonhavern at Bickland Park.
