Penryn Bowling Club have moved two points clear at the top of the first division of the Penryn and Falmouth Summer League's Old EPA Rules thanks to a 7-2 win over Trelowarren A.
Mark Stoddern achieved an 8-ball clearance in the doubles.
Wendron C A move up to second after a 7-2 win over Falmouth Town SC, and Woodlane SC drop to third after edging out Clipperway B 5-4. Workingmans stay in fourth after defeating Wendron CC D 6-3.
Seven Stars Penryn moved to the top of the second division after beating last week's leaders Boslowick B 6-3 and St Gluvias CC moved off the bottom with a 5-4 win over Penryn AFC D. No result cards were received from Boslowick A v Three Tuns.
In the World Rules league the Famous Barrel A gave leaders Penryn RAOB a tough night, eventually losing 8-7 with Sue Munday and Denise Burton winning five out of six singles against the Buffs boys.
Killigrew A edged out the Three Tuns 8-7 to stay in second place, while Labour Club A moved up to third after an 11-4 win over Penryn AFC. Labour Club B failed to win again, just losing 8-7 to the Famous Barrel B.
There will be a committee meeting on Sunday, August 20, at Woodlane SC between 7-8pm for all World Rules teams to pay league fees to date.
In the World Rules team knockour, Labour Club A will play Penryn AFC in the semi-finals, with Penryn AFC coming from 7-5 down to win 8-7 and cause an upset against Penryn RAOB in the quarter-finals. In the other semi-final Killigrew B will play the Three Tuns, who came from 4-2 down to beat Killigrew A 8-4 in the other quarter-final.
