Penryn FC have appointed Steve Jewell and Dale Band as joint-managers of the club following Andy Parry's shock resignation this week.
Jewell and Band stepped down from their roles as managers of Penryn first team last summer, but are now set to make a sensational return after the club's committee voted unanimously to re-appoint them.
A statement from the club's secretary, Mike Young, on Friday, said: "Two days after Penryn Athletic best win in the Durning Lawrence Charity Cup final Andy Parry told a surprised committee that after 11 seasons at the sharp end of football management he had decided to step down and concentrate on playing more golf.
"Just a few hours later Penryn Athletic got their second surprise when Steve Jewell and Dale Band announced that they would like to make a comeback. A delighted committee voted them back in unanimously last night (Thursday)."
The club went on to thanks Andy Parry for his work. He was in charge of the Penryn Athletic Reserves side for ten successful seasons before he took over the first team last summer. He led the first team to their highest Peninsula League placing, scoring more goals and conceding less in the process.
Added to that he also led them to their first piece of silverware in senior football by beating St Dennis 3-1 in the final of the Durning Lawrence Charity Cup.
Symon Winnan is set to remain in charge of the Combination League side for next season. He has also over achieved last campaign leading his team to a second place finish and promoting youth players.
Penryn have also accepted an application from ex-player Darren 'Chopper' Martin to manage the club's third team, who play in the Trelawny League division three.
