The fixture list has not been kind on Carlsberg South West Peninsula League division one west side Porthleven who face three tough opening matches to the season.

Porthleven begin with a game against Vospers Oak Villa, at Gala Parc on August 18. They finished last season's campaign in the top four.

The following week it is a trip to Godolphin Atlantic, before another tough home match against Durning Lawrence Charity Cup winners Penryn.

However, September does look a kinder month on the Fishermen with last season's strugglers Foxhole and Perranporth to play along with a match against newly-promoted Sticker.
