An 85th minute goal from James Miller gave Helston Athletic all three points in their match against Callington Town.
Helston took the lead through a first half strike from Liam Eddy, but Callington levelled after the break through Matt Thackery.
Helston were reduced to ten men when Ashley Stidwell was shown a second yellow card, but hung in the game to score the winner late on.
The Blues started the match brightly with Jamie Thirkle sending a couple of dangerous crosses into the box and Liam Eddy having a goalbound shot turned around the post by Callington keeper Jamie Blatchford.
However, it was a hopeful clearance upfield which led to Helston taking the lead on 24 minutes. Eddy, in space on the left, picked up the ball and, lobbed Blatchford from an acute angle.
Callington had a great chance to pull a goal back on 34 minutes when a low cross from Kirk Smith found Ryan Lucassi, but his close range shot was smartly saved by Martyn Webster in the Helston goal.
Callington started the second half much the better of the two teams. First the visitors' Serbian striker Andre Rodokov fired an effort just over and then Fergus Nevin floated a 30-yard free-kick onto the Helston crossbar.
So it came as no surprise when Callington levelled the scores on 59 minutes. Smith's free-kick on the left was floated into the box, where Thackery sent a free header back across goal and into the bottom corner.
Helston's afternoon got worse as Ashley Stidwell blocked Smith's run down the left and received a second booking for doing so. The Helston defender had been shown a yellow card in the first half for dissent.
Callington sensing their chance to claim a crucial victory against one of their title rivals, sent men forward.
Anthony Mason, brother of Cardiff City's Joe Mason, tested Webster with a close range shot before player-manager Lee Beer sent in a 30-yard drive that Webster tipped over his crossbar.
Dennis Mason, also a brother of Joe, then missed a great chance as Webster cleared a ball to him on the edge of the area and he placed a shot wide of an open goal.
The misses were to prove costly as with five minutes to go Jordan Adlard's 30-yard free-kick was tipped onto his crossbar by Blatchford only for the rebound to fall kindly for Miller to fire home.
