A car ended up embedded in the porch of a home following a crash near Looe yesterday evening.
Firefighters were called to the B3274, Downderry, at 8.16pm yesterday after a callsaying a car had left the the road and hit the home.
Two appliances with seven crew from Looe were mobilised and when they arrived they found that fortunately no one was trapped inside the vehicle.
A fire service spokesman said that the car had crashed into the domestic bungalow and had knocked down a side porch and that the vehicle was still "inside" the porch when the crew arrived.
Fire crews made the premise safe and the vehicle was driven from the damaged structure.
Once the vehicle had been recovered firefighters made the vehicle safe.
The driver of the car was treated by ambulance personnel. Police were also called.
