Firefighters from three towns were called to a farm near Marazion on Thursday after a report of a large barn full of straw bales on fire.
Appliances from Penzance and St Ives, alongside a water carrier from Helston were sent to the scene.
A CFRS spokesman said the barn (approx 20m x 10m) contained 700 straw bales and was well alight when crews arrived shortly after 5pm.
Firefighters used jets to boundary cool the area in a bid to protect nearby trees
The barn was be allowed to burn out under the supervision of firefighters.
