Firefighters were called when a blaze in a car in Wendron spread to a nearby electricity pole.
A fire engine from Helston was called at around 4.45pm to the fire, near Wendron Church, and the vehicle was found to be well alight.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Crews tackled the blaze using a hosereel and two sets of breathing apparatus. The fire spread to an electricity pole and Western Power were informed."
