Body found in search for missing Redruth woman
Police searching for a missing Redruth woman who have discovered a body near Portreath.
At around 10.20am this morning police searching for missing Elsie Hendy found the body of a woman at the bottom of cliffs at Porth Cadjack Cove, between Portreath and Gwithian.
A police spokesperson said: "She was reported missing having been last seen at 1pm yesterday at her home address.
"Police, coastguards and Cornwall Search and Rescue Team conducted extensive searches throughout the night which continued this morning."
The body has been recovered and her next of kin have been notified.
