Firefighters were called yesterday evening to a car fire in the top fire of Sainsbury's car park.
One fire appliance was sent from Truro Community Fire Station shortly after 7.30pm.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Sainsbury's staff had used several fire extinguishers to knock down the fire prior to the arrival of the fire crew.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hosereel to confirm that the fire had been fully extinguished."
