Firefighters from Falmouth have put out a blaze on a boat on the hard standing near Ponsharden at lunchtime today.

Crews were called at around just after noon, and arrived to find a ten metre by six metre catamaran on fire.

A hosereel and covering jet were used to extinguish the fire, before crews then cut away and damped down hot spots.

A fire service spokesperson said: "The cause is believed to be accidental and confined to the boat."
