A CAR fire caused major traffic disruption on Cornwall's arterial road this lunchtime.
The A30 was blocked in both directions following the fire between Loggans Moor Roundabout, Hayle and the junction for Camborne West.
Two appliances from Hayle and Tolvaddon fire stations were mobilised to the scene.
Crews used breathing apparatus and hosereel jets to extinguish the blaze.
There was queueing traffic for several miles on the A30 towards Camborne and also on Carwin Rise, on the approach to Loggans Moor Roundabout from Connor Downs.
Crews then ensured the vehicle was safe before leaving the scene in the hands of Devon and Cornwall Police.
