A DRUNKEN man leapt onto a wall in Camborne town centre, shouted “yahoo!” and exposed himself to a group of teenagers.
When questioned by police, he said he was sorry and that he meant his actions to be a joke.
At Truro Magistrates' Court, Janicki, 29, of Truro Road, St Austell, pleaded guilty to committing an act of outraging public decency on June 6.
Prosecutor David Harvey said the offence took place in Commercial Square, Camborne, at 6.45pm when there were a number of people around.
Two girls had complained that Janicki was acting in an erratic manner, drinking from a bottle, and then exposing himself.
Mr Harvey said: “He began to wave his private parts around in the direction of the young people and made obscene gestures towards them.
“That caused concern, alarm and distress and the police were called.”
Janicki, who had previous convictions, was represented by Clare Moyle who said her client had drank too much that day and alcohol had gone to his head.
He had no intention to offend anybody and was shocked at what he had done which was completely out of character.
“He just acted stupidly and thought that his friends would think that he was funny,” she added.
Janicki, who admitted a bail offence, received a conditional discharge for 18 months and a drink banning order for the same period. He had to pay £85 costs.
