A large fire at a scrap yard near Camborne saw nearly 50 firefighters drafted in to battle the flames.
Fire Control received multiple calls to a scrapyard at Higher Condurrow, Beacon, last night.
Crews found a large fire involving a single storey commercial building approx 10m by 10m and 12 vehicles.
Six pumping appliances with 34 firefighters from Camborne, Redruth, Helston, Falmouth and Truro stations were sent to the scene, alongside the incident command unit from St Just, the operational support vehicle from Falmouth and two water carriers one from Helston and one from Wadebridge with a further 14 crew.
By 4.08am the use of a water relay and four jets and one hosereel had extinguished the fire and the incident was scaled down.
A fire investigation will be carried out later this morning.
