After raising over £1,000 for charity during September’s Moonlight Memory Walk, a woman from Truro has won a year’s worth of free haircuts for her efforts.
Sarah Taylor was one of hundreds of ladies who took part in the Moonlight Memory Walk in Falmouth to raise funds for the Precious Lives Appeal.
Sarah who owns carpet business Carpet Knights, was rewarded with her £1,048 worth of sponsorship with a year’s free hair cuts at Rococo.
Sarah said: “The Moonlight Memory Walk was a mixed bag of emotions. It was surprisingly tranquil considering how many people took part, but there were also lots of giggles along the way. There was a great feeling of being united as everyone was there for the same cause.
“I am overwhelmed by the generosity of friends and family, including donations from other carpet cleaning companies across the country. From the date I registered to do the walk until the date of the event Carpet Knights also donated £5 for every job we completed which added up to £345.
“I’ve always wanted to do something like this and if the money I have raised can help make a difference for just one family then I’m happy.”
