Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has warned Cornwall to expect an influx of football fans into the county when his side visit for a pre-season tour in July.

Warnock's Leeds are scheduled to play two Carlsberg South West Peninsula League sides: Tavistock, on Monday, July 23 and Bodmin, on Wednesday, July 25.

Both teams played Warnock's QPR team when they visited Cornwall last summer, but the 63-year-old football manager has said the visit of Leeds will be on a completely different scale.

“Tavy and Bodmin better be ready for us, because Leeds will bring a lot of fans down,” he said.

“There are a lot of people who will be booking their holidays to Cornwall for that week. They (Leeds) took about 3,000 to a game in Falkirk last summer.”

Speaking about why Tavistock and Bodmin were chosen, Neil added: "Both clubs have been very good to me in the past. They are very welcoming and very friendly. The Leeds fans will love it down there as well because it is a great atmosphere."

Leeds got a lot of interest from other Cornish clubs asking for a game.

However Warnock, who has written back to the clubs that didn't get a match to apologise, said it just wasn't possible to play everyone.

Leeds are only going to be in Cornwall for a short time and he had to focus and making it an intensive training week.

Leeds United will be based at Duchy College. It is expected that the club will open one of its morning training sessions for the public to come and watch.
